French Lavender
image Used through the ages for its healing properties. The lavender soaps produced by Le Savon Maison are scented with lavender oil from the mountainous regions of southeastern France. This "pure" lavender is the finest lavender in the world. The bars are also sprinkled with "Blue Lavender" which is the darkest purple variety of lavender. I buy it from a farmer in the Drôme region of France, just north of Provence.
Ginger-Orange
image Ginger has long been used in the orient for its anti-inflammatory properties. It is a therapeutic agent for the treatment of rheumatism and inflammation of the joints and muscles, as well as for the treatment of colds and flu. Orange has also been used in the treatment of breathing ailments and nervous tension.
Verbena
image A perfume ingredient that is popular in Europe and is primarily grown in southern France. It has a lemony smell and can help to relieve insomnia and indigestion. It's my Dad's personal favorite!
Patchouli
image An herb grown in the Far East, whose oil is used to help prevent the spread of disease. It has also been used to treat nausea and abdominal problems. Patchouli soaps are sprinkled with Calendula petals, which is a therapeutic ingredient in natural skin ointments for burns and cuts.
Rosemary-Goat's Milk
image Soaps made with Goat's Milk are among the mildest available. Goat's Milk is nutritive to the skin, while the essential oil of Rosemary adds a clean fresh scent. It evokes images of stony villages in Italy with potted Rosemary plants in every doorway.
Peppermint Tea-Tree
image Peppermint is native to the US and is used for colds, flu, sore throat, and mild digestive disorders. The Australian Tea Tree has been used for a wide variety of skin irritations and lung diseases. My accountant uses it to soothe his athlete's foot!
French Clay
image French Green Clay is a natural material from the earth that has been used for centuries to draw oils, impurities, and toxins from the skin. This soap is enriched with aloe and shea butter, and is lightly scented with essential oils of sweet orange and cedarwood.
Alhambra Garden
Inspired by the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, this oatmeal soap is scented with Egyptian Geranium and grapefruit oils.
Café Citron
A refreshing lemony soap, sprinkled with ground coffee beans. Try a bar by the kitchen sink to help neutralize odors like garlic and fish on the chef's hands!
Monet's Garden
Aromatherapists use a blend of Lavender, Petitgrain, and Ylang Ylang essential oils in their relaxation blends. Monet's Garden soap incorporates this mixture, along with Lemon Grass. The result is a unique soap, great as a shaving bar or in the bath.
Reglisse/Anise
In many cultures, people use anise oil to camouflage their human scents while hunting and fishing. Reglisse soap is scented with essential oil of Star Anise, and smells like my favorite candy... black licorice! Ground luffa is added for a slight exfoliating effect.
Au Natural
For those who do not want fragrances, this bar is pure soap without any essential oils or additives.
Fish Soaps
image Kids and adults alike will love the "fish in a bag" soaps - just like bringing a goldfish home from the pet store or the county fair! Why not buy a whole "school" for the next birthday party?

Soaps are vegetable glycerin-based. They are solid, not liquid, and include a plastic fish inside. Colors vary.
